What is WooChainPro?
WooChainPro is a WooCommerce plugin that allows merchants to issue blockchain-backed certificates of authenticity for customer purchases.
Do I need blockchain development experience?
No. WooChainPro provides a guided setup process inside the plugin. You do not need to write or deploy smart contract code yourself.
What happens when a customer places an order?
When certificate issuance is enabled, the customer can choose to receive a blockchain certificate at checkout. The certificate is issued according to the order status configured by the merchant and associated with the customer’s wallet.
Is receiving a certificate mandatory for customers?
No. Certificate issuance is designed to be opt-in at checkout. Customers can choose whether they want to receive a certificate.
Which blockchains does WooChainPro support?
WooChainPro currently supports Optimism and Arbitrum, with additional networks planned. Supported networks may change as the platform develops.
Does connecting my wallet cost gas?
No. Connecting your wallet requires signing a short authentication message. It does not create a blockchain transaction, consume gas, or transfer funds.
Do I need cryptocurrency to use WooChainPro?
You need USDC credit for applicable WooChainPro services and blockchain operations. The specific costs depend on the services and network you use.
What happens if my USDC balance runs out?
If your balance is insufficient, certificate issuance will stop until sufficient credit is available. Existing certificates are not affected because they are recorded on the blockchain.
What happens if my subscription expires?
The checkout certificate option will stop appearing while the required subscription is inactive. Existing certificates remain unaffected.
Can a certificate be changed or deleted?
Blockchain records are designed to be permanent and independently verifiable. Depending on the seller rights selected when the smart contract was deployed, certain actions such as revocation or forced transfer may be available.
Can I change seller rights after deploying my contract?
Seller rights are embedded in the smart contract at deployment and cannot normally be changed afterward. Choose them carefully during setup.
What happens if a customer enters the wrong wallet address?
A certificate sent to an incorrect blockchain address may not be recoverable. Where supported, a Force Transfer right may allow the merchant to recover or transfer the certificate.
For this reason, customers should verify their wallet address carefully before submitting their order.
Can WooChainPro suspend a contract?
WooChainPro may suspend a contract in exceptional circumstances, such as a security vulnerability, court order, or serious technical issue. Such an action is separate from the seller rights selected by the merchant and is recorded on-chain.
Can I verify a certificate without WooChainPro?
Yes. The underlying certificate record exists on the public blockchain and can be independently examined using compatible blockchain infrastructure and block explorers.
Can my smart contract source be verified?
Yes. WooChainPro provides the information required to verify the deployed contract source on the applicable block explorer, including the compiler version, optimizer settings, source code, ABI, and constructor information.
Can I use more than one contract?
Each shop normally receives one contract per supported network. Additional contracts may be available upon request for separate brands or product lines.
When are certificates issued?
The merchant can configure the order status that triggers certificate issuance. For example, certificates can be issued when an order reaches processing or completed status.
A delay can also be configured where supported.
Can an order receive multiple certificates?
No. WooChainPro is designed so that each order can produce only one certificate. This is enforced at multiple levels, including the smart contract.
What if certificate issuance fails?
If certificate issuance fails, the merchant can review the relevant order and use the available retry function where applicable.
